Hello New Year

2015 stationery promo image

If you came by to visit us at any local markets this past winter, you may have noticed that our booths were looking a little bit different than usual! That's because in November 2015 we launched our first ever stationery collection. We couldn't have been happier with how well it was received (more on that in a future blog post) but there were also a lot of questions, which we will endeavour to answer now.

This past year, Lisa got into grad school - yay! - and unfortunately had to step back from the Fox & Fancy team. As much as we loved the jewellery collections, it just wasn't the same without Lisa. Of the two of us, jewellery was really her specialty, and it felt wrong to continue working on new collections without her. With her blessing, we decided to change directions, and that's how Fox & Fancy stationery came to be. Although she's not "officially" involved anymore, you'll probably see her helping out at trade shows and occasionally popping up on our instagram. (Just when you try to get out, they pull you back in!)

Although we won't be showing our jewellery at any trade or craft shows for the foreseeable future, it's still available online here. If you don't see what you're looking for, feel free to send us a message and we'll see what we can do. We still make custom pieces and have our best sellers available online. (If you're hoping to get a raw brass geometric cluster necklace, you do have to place a special order - we just can't keep them in stock!)

We also want to take a brief moment to introduce a new member of the F&F family - say hello to Jay! You may recognize him as the foxy, bow-tie wearing man from behind the booth at craft shows for the past few years. In addition to being the muscle for setup and take down, he's also the technical director at Fox & Fancy. Lots of the behind the scenes magic is thanks to him - he's been instrumental in getting the new website up and running with an integrated online shop.

What's next for Fox & Fancy? Well, this month we're launching Fox & Fancy weddings - beautiful bespoke invitations and day-of stationery design services for weddings and other special events and celebrations. You can come visit us at The Pop Up Wedding Shoppe on 1281 West Georgia Street in Vancouver from January 11th to February 14th to see our new designs, book a complimentary consultation, and browse lots of awesome local vendors to plan all the details for your big day! We're also hard at work on a new stationery collection that will be revealed in summer 2016.

So far, we're super excited for 2016 - we hope you are too!

xoxo,

Rachel
